About me: Why 226?

The 226 brand was created using a simple addition of the three disciplines of an Ironman triathlon:
3.8 km swim + 180 km bike + 42.2 km marathon = 226 km
The resilience and fortitude required to complete an Ironman can be used far beyond the challenge of a long distance triathlon, and so the 226 message has evolved to develop this inspirational story aimed at at encouraging and empowering a far wider audience.
